Garden Island Stage 1 Infrastructure Recovery Project
Client: Point Project Management

The aim of Stage One was to address significant condition, capacity and compliance issues with two existing wharves at Garden Island (East), Sydney, New South Wales. These wharves are referred to as the Cruiser Wharf and the Oil Wharf. The aim was to demolish the Cruiser and Oil wharves and build a new wharf in a revised alignment in their place and also extend an adjoining wharf to limit the new realigned wharf's protrusion.

Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre
Client: Sydney Ports Corporation

Project Description
The Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre (ILC) was constructed over 60 hectare site located in industrial area and connected by a dedicated freight line to Port Botany. The ILC at Enfield is part of a network of existing planned intermodal terminal facilities in Sydney and would service around a quarter of the total intermodal demand. The project incorporated 13 hectares containers area, 52,500m2 warehouses, 40,000m2 light industrial and commercial areas, roadworks and 6 hectares ecological area.

Manly Wharf Upgrade
Client: NSW Maritime

The Manly Wharf Upgrade was a $17m project designed to improve circulation areas for passengers, repair the wharf structure and provide new accommodation for Sydney Ferries staff. The upgrade works include new JetCat facility on the eastern side of the Wharf which can move to suit different sized vessel and different tides. The construction of the works was staged to ensure that the Wharf remained in operational at all time. blueVisions Project Manager was responsible for the Design and Construction of this busy operational wharf. The Project Manager responsibility included managing the Programme, Budget and Contract Management (AS 2124 Contract) which required extensive Stakeholder Management, as well as undertaking the design review and attending site for inspections.

Circular Quay Ferry Terminal
Client: NSW Department of Finance and Services (Previously NSW Department of Public Works)

The Circular Quay Wharves Upgrade included the rationalisation of retail space, operational space and the upgrading of the roof and walls to increase light and natural ventilation onto the wharves. blueVisions assists NSW Department of Finance and Services in developing the construction programme which incorporates design, procurement and staged construction to ensure the operation of the terminal. blueVisions worked with NSW Department of Finance and Services on a monthly basis to update the programme. This included identifying critical delays, activities re-sequencing to mitigate delays, development of detailed short-term programme to manage critical subcontractors. blueVisions also did the undertake of design review as well as the site inspections attendance.

Vessel Tracking System
Client: Sydney Port Corporation

Sydney ports invested over $12 million in the state of the art technology to improve surveillance and tracking of all vessels including over 4,500 international shipping movements. The project enhanced the safety and efficiency of the commercial vessel traffic movements and to better protect the marine environment. The project involved using combined information from multiple sensors including radar, CCTV, VHF & AIS technologies. blueVisions was engaged by Sydney Ports to manage the project execution phase. Design review and site inspections were also undertaken by blueVisions.

Port Botany Expansion
Client: Leighton Contractors

Sydney Ports Corporation had undertaken a major expansion of its container port facilities at Port Botany. The expansion is one of the largest port projects to be undertaken in Australia in the last 30 years. blueVisions undertook a review of the design and attended site for the site inspections. blueVisions was also commissioned to provide specialised planning services to Leighton Contractors.
